GROSS BLOG AHEAD. I draw plenty of body horror!
I'm an art dork attending SCAD to study comics. I love dogs, candymaking, sewing toys, nerd-ass tabletop games, and disgusting oozy monsters! I'm way too much of a perfectionist and stress if things aren't exactly on plan, but hey, we all got stuff to work on.
normally this wouldn’t be worthy to post by itself, but I’ve got a cold and am engaging in some feeble self indulgence as I chip away at homework. Also, it’s technically an Inktober draw, so whatever, I need to catch up on posting those anyway. ENJOY THE MONSTER PERSON BUTT.
Also a Jersey Devil for Inktober
A few lil Mouse doodles. Last one is because our GM made the mistake a while back of putting a character of hers in the game (as an NPC), so every time he shows up now Mouse is on a laser-guided course for the booty. No regrets, only terrible pickup lines.
continuing my habit of drawing whichever shitty DnD character I’m playing as 5000 times a day
The Buffalo Game Space.
My brother is one of the founding members, and for the past couple of years they’ve grown as a group and worked on some amazing endeavors together. Check out the link for tons more information on what they’re doing, and what they’re hoping to do.
Why am I posting here? Well, obviously to get more attention so they can meet their goal. But I should probably sweeten the deal a bit here, since this blog is for my art and art alone.
So if you reblog this post, I’ll draw a name from the reblogs and do a 5x7” painting of anything the winner wants. Any character, any creature, any landscape, any nsfw stuff, anything.
And when it’s completed (and dry), I’ll ship it to you. (Yes, even internationally. My bank account will get over it.) And since it’ll be 5x7, you can grab a cheap little frame at a thrift store or a craft store and BAM. Framed artwork. All for you. You don’t even have to be following me (…it’d be cool if you did.) Just reblog this post (likes don’t count), and once the kickstarter is over (funded or unfunded) I’ll pull a name from a hat and get in touch!
If you decide to chip in a few dollars on the kickstarter, you’re extra awesome. You have 26 days.
quick cherubim doodle before I gotta run and do some work! I’ll answer some asks and stuff later, sorry I’ve been busy so much this weekend
Well, thank you for enjoying it! Here’s another Steve for ya, pal!
YOU’RE TOO KIND, MYSTERIOUS STRANGER. And your art is hella cute, I might add!
Eyyyy so here’s a quick little maybe-scary-maybe-not minicomic! I guess this is inktober days 4 and 5, since those are the days I didn’t do ink sketches…but hey, these are in ink AND there’s even a monstery thing, so it works out!
The lettering in these pages is a HOT PILE O’ GARBAGE and the tones are less than stellar, for separate reasons, so please bear with me on that until I can fix it. I’m going top do a secondary print run on these minis that’ll hopefully fix those errors (and the formatting ones as well, since my printers gave me weird offsets). Hopefully it doesn’t detract too much!
I’m just gonna draw fanart ALL INKTOBER AND YOU CAN’T STOP ME.
There’s a lot of good monsters in RE so since yall liked the Steves from yesterday, here’s a Piers for today. Damn, but if Resident Evil doesn’t kill off all its handsome men in their prime.
Scanned a few more of my inktober drawings. Preeeeeeetty sure I’m doing an unofficial monster man month, so these are some sloppy fanart doodles of Steve Burnside (i.e. Resident Evil’s cutest sidekick, both before and after he turned into a giant axe-wielding virus mutant). The second one was actually done first, and I did the other after realizing the first take was crapola. GONNA UPLOAD ‘EM BOTH ANYWAY THOUGH.
I think so, but not immediately. The initial story was a solid one-shot, so I’d only expand on it if I felt like further installments could be equally solid. At this point, it boils down to whether I have the concept, the time, and materials to make that happen.
Time is kind of a premium right now, especially since I’ll be launching a webcomic soon. Materials aren’t usually a problem, but the reason I haven’t started the webcomic is the fact my computer fried, so that’s currently a bust as well. And while I’ve done some fairly solid brainstorming about the world with a few of my lovely followers (ookyspookypookie in particular), I haven’t made a commitment to any particular narrative or concept. The most likely outcomes are 1. I participate with a stand-alone continuation in a potential second edition of Vertebrae Anthology (we’ll see how possible that is after they’ve published the book. And I’ve been paid) or 2. I continue the series as a mini-comic.
The second is likely to happen at some point since I’ve already done a baby print run of minis from the first story, and I’d like to have another mini or two with similar content to sell with it. All my other minis aren’t gross enough to pair with it :o
AH DANG, that’s awesome! If you want to upload it somewhere else and link me, that would probably work. You might have to come off anon though, tumblr’s sometimes odd about sending links through asks. Or you could submit it to me. Whichever is best for you!
One of my Inktober drawings (haven’t scanned the others yet, but I’ll get around to it) featuring my shitty torso monster, and a couple pages of sketches of my ADORABLE cleric from the last pathfinder session. She/they woke up in displeasing garb and elected to strip to their skivvies (i.e. about an acre of crusty bandages) and run around like a tiny flimsy mummy person rather than just wear the fancy dress. I really hope the DM doesn’t kill me because I already love playing this lil dude. Plague cleric. Ahhhhh.
Gimp cleans up my doodles pretty gross but OH WELL, GOTTA LIVE WITH IT FOR NOW.
Here’s a super sketchy Jeb and some concept art/final design stuff for my new DnD character (there’s a TON more of the lil guy, but I trimmed it down). I built a fantasy religion over the summer and decided it would translate really well into Pathfinder, so now I’m playing a weird little disease/healing cleric name Memphis. Their religion is based around plague epidemics and parasitism. A cutie, too!
